Hi Guys,

Recently just bought a new computer, now i need a monitor to complete my build. I play mostly MMO/RPG games.
I'm not sure which would be better, 1440p/144hz or a 4k, help please!

i7-7700k
asus strix gtx 1080
trident z 3200 ddr4 32gb ram
corsair h115i extreme

Sweet machine.
I prefer 1440p and higher refresh rate over 4k no doubt.

But it really is a personal perferance

The 8bit TN panels they use on 1440p 144hz are quite nice. Showing realistic colors. IPS has some advantages like higher dynamic range and viewing angels but you will pay for it though

thank you for that video, im using this mostly for gaming and dont care about the viewing angles. This TN looks like it would be just fine for me.

Well I haven't regret buying my TN asus pg278. And my two secondary monitors are both IPS. Not really a noticeable difference in coloring. My brother has a 1080p 144hz 6bit panel, side by side with mine there was a huge difference in picture quality.

If you do editing on a semi professional plan IPS would be smarter tho.

IMO you don't need a 144hz monitor for RPG/MMO.
I went with a 1440 screen: Dell Ultrasharp U2515H, pretty content with it.
