So ill be playing WoW 90% of the time

Ive been playing on a toshiba satelite laptop for like 4 years and raids are unplayable and i cant run certain dungeons without dropping too low on fps

So im building my own pc

Ive already bought compatible tower and power supply

But will this build be great to start with? Ill be upgrading over the months obviously

Like I said in the PM, you can definitely spend your money better.

Answering your question, yes it will run every blizzard game. You can still do better for less.

Don't buy a dual core
It's not 1999
It's better to hold off until you have at least $600.
It will save you money in the long run.

Ideally something like this

You don't need an optical drive or fans unless you have 0 fans in your case. If u have at least 2, put one in the front and one in the back. I think the 1050 ti is an utter waste of money - you could buy a used 960 and have roughly the same performance. I've seen them near me for 75-100. I'd check the offer up app if I were in your shoes. Can pm me any deals u find and I'll say yay or nay if u want.

Another good question is which Blizzard game is going to stress a dual core and make a jump to the i5/1070 combo worth it?

Hint: none

This guy wants to play Blizzard games at low/medium settings without frame stutters. He could run high/ultra settings on a g3258/rx 460 combo right now if he wanted. My vote goes to a g4560/rx 460/470 combo once the kaby lake dual cores are available . Anything else would really be a waste for OP. He wants the most bang for his buck.

g4560/460 = $180
g4560/470 = $240
i5 6500/1070 = $585

I don't like sticking people in upgrade loops, it's a waste of money
Quad cores allow for him to multitask without severely effecting the cores that wow is running on (over 4 cores instead of 2 for os + whatever else he runs at the same time). Cache is also larger on a quad vs a dual so it would process faster albeit not much - like at all but still lol

True he doesn't need anything more powerful than a 470 tho. Especially if AA is off, might be able to turn on tho, not sure, don't even play wow :P

Im literally looking to play wow on low settings, with no dips in raids.

Idc about extra cartoonish pixels looking better, or view distance. I played on a toshiba satelite laptop for 4 years, anythings better than that.

Gonna go wih the rx 460/i3 combo and upgrade later if need be

Where can i get a legit windows 10 key without paying an arm and a leg. Legit only. Can boot the software from a usb no disk needed
