You are using a 768p TV as monitor? I would probably upgrade that first. Isnt that gtx 660 sufficient for decent 60 fps league?

Use current motherboard and CPU...add this stuff...

Get a Windows 10 Pro license from KINGUIN, for $28, and create the install media here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

/e You don't really need a 1060, but it will help crunch Photoshop stuff, a lot faster than a 660.

Get a good IPS monitor first and foremost. Ultrawide would be ideal, but don't go curved whatever you do.

After that, you need a lot of stuff. I would say minimum 16GB RAM.

Video card is less important. A 1050 Ti or a RX 470 if you wanna game a little harder would be solid.

You already have a SSD, so that's good. It's not great, but it works.

I was able to trim some stuff down.
I have an optical drive just reattached it - saves 18
I already have a ssd with OS on it (was planning to sell it with my pc) but i might use that for just my os so I swapped out SSD's - saves 50
i will just used my hdd in pc as well - saves 80

so I think with that extra money i am going to put it towards a new case - i have corsair carbide spec 01 case but i got it off craigs list a long time ago and the window panel mount is bent just a little and doesnt fit on correctly.
I would like to find a case with great space for cable managment, i am OCD when it comes to wires everywhere and drives me insane.
I think also i will put that extra money towards a tri-monitor set up (selling my old tv monitor first)

what do you guys think?? :D

Looks OK. Air 540 has good cable management. Not exactly cheap, though.

Like I said -- monitors should be #1 priority for graphic design. You need an IPS panel. No junk ones, either.

Yep, for graphics work, you definitely want an IPS monitor(s).

I would do this...if you want to save money and get a new case... https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2mRHqk

Is it feasable to get a nice ips monitor as my main and then 2 generic less expensive ones for sides and do my graphic designs on the middle monitor?

Depends on how much graphics you wanna do.

Everything looks better on an IPS monitor. They have a crisper pic and higher color gamut.
