Really wanting 1060 / 8350 cpu and hoping for 16gb ram. But unsure of priorities I should try getting first.

Also wanting to upgrade to bigger SSD. But thatll have to wait.

Currently just mostly playing ARK.

I'd get a 1060 and probably skip an 8350 upgrade.
You just wont see a huge boost.

Although if you can manage to upgrade to an 8350 for the cost of around 30...maybe 50 bucks, then maybe its worth. Otherwise, just wait til you can afford a higher end processor such as an i5 or zen if that's out.

Ark seems to be pretty cpu intensive at times that's why I thought an upgrade in that department but I thought the 8350 was a substantial upgrade vs my current one

I'd keep the 6300 and overclock the snot out of it.
Get a 212 evo if u don't have.
Spend the rest of your $$ on a gpu

Should be good to go imo :)

Well here is just one guy

Hes getting 30ish fps at all max with the fx 6300 and gpu usage is hovering near max all the time. I agree with penguins, you can overclock it to 4.5 ghz or so on an evo and that will boost you up, but otherwise, not worth it IMO.
You wouldn't see substantial gains from upgrading cpu, and the gains are even smaller if you compare them to putting more money into gpu.

I think it will be extremely difficult to find an 8350 for the price difference you stated. Id never buy a used cpu tho, that's why I suggested what I did :)

Also ive played a lot of ark. Going to get back into it fairly soon i think

I agree as well, but that's just all the performance is worth and probably even less since an 8350 requires wraith/aftermarket to not throttle in most cases.

I went with the rx 480, 16gb ram and bigger ssd. My motherboard has 5 sata ports. Can I add the third hard drive or do I need to replace one. And my evo 212 hasn't came in yet

You can add the 3rd drive.
