What do you guys think is the best gaming CPU out there? I'm upgrading my PC shortly and im stuck on which CPU to buy. Top options - in my opinion for my use ( Unity , Gaming ) - the i5 6600k , i7 6700k and the i7 4790k. Now i do wanna stay within a certain budget when upgrading my CPU. Between 500-600 including Mobo and Ram. I am upgrading from an fx 8320 so im trying to figure out which is the best buy for a better upgrade.

Those 3 choice are good one, I wouldn't suggest going with the 4790k due to older technology/higher price.
Between The 6600k and the 6700k depends 100% on what you're goingto do with your PC.

Anything else you do but gaming?
Why do you feel the need to upgrade now?

Well i want it to be able to run newer games - such as BF 1 , and be able to run WoW better than what i do now lol . I also am going to be doing alot of coding soon , which doesnt need much but the rendering does.

As for why im upgrading, my mobo seems to be shitting the bed and there are games that i simply just cannot run because my CPU holds me back.

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/WXGbBm <--- can just substitute a 6600K as well.

My main question about the 6700k is that is it worth the extra $100 to upgrade over the 6600k . I've been stuck on choosing for about a week and half now haha

I would go with the 6700K just to make future overclocking a bit easier.
But you don't really need one.

For what you're going to do, no it's not worth it.
