I'm helping a Canadian with their first build so I've helped guide the part picking. I wanted to post it here and see if anybody can find any major problems, ways to improve the build, or lower the cost without compromising quality.

Budget is approximately $1500. The computer will be used for gaming on 1080p or lesser monitors.
Not overclocking.

In 3 weeks? in Canada? i cant even find a price quote for it in Canada.

Really not wanting to wait. Currently dealing with a broken video card and wanting to get a new computer soon. Is buying the 970 now a terrible idea? is there a better alternative?

Who knows when those 1070s will hit Canadian suppliers, it could be mid summer for all we know? and how much they will cost? (everything costs more in Canada).
