I play on a 1080p 24'' 144hz 1ms monitor and i don't plan on playing on 2k or 4k monitor anytime soon.
I made this thread cause i'm looking for ideas .


Right now where i stand is :

• Swap to 4790k and OC to 4.5
  
• Buy GTX 1080 next month.

This is not the kind of idea i was looking for ... im looking for upgrade, not an entire new build.
My Mobo is not compatible with 6th gen CPU and changing both Mobo + CPU would be 800$ + and i don't think i would see that much of a difference just for gaming.

I don't have much knowledge on 5th gen CPU and their gaming potential
would it be wiser to SLI 2 x GTX 970 or 2 x 980ti vs wait on new gen?

What about m2 ssd?

The GTX 1080 is supposed to beat 2x 980 in SLI. It will use use a LOT less power and run cooler. The GTX 1070 is supposed to beat the Titan X, and at under $400 each, you could SLI two of them.

m2 SSD's are a LOT faster, but even the normal SSDs are fast enough.

Yes an AIO water cooler would be a bit better. Look at Corsair or NZXT.

The best LGA1150 cpu is the 4790k right?
How expensive is a Corsair watercooling?

if you want a 1080 then get 1

Sold a CS:GO skin in real life for that computer + 1100$, said item was worth 2,000$ so got the system for 900$.
