Games I play:

League of legends, path of exile

Budget:

Don't really have one, just want parts that are compatible

I currently am using a radeon hd 6870 graphics card which is an older graphics card. It works completely fine for the games I play, the only issue I have is my fan crapped out on me and now it overheats.

I'm looking to replace my graphics card and possibly upgrade my hard drive to a SSD.

Looking for something compatible with my asrock z68 pro3 gen3 mobo and my i5 2550k CPU.

Prefer not to upgrade my entire computer if I can avoid the costs..

I'm sure if his psu was handling the hd 6870 it can handle a 750ti or something, if you have a crap psu though it's always recommended to upgrade to something of decent quality.

Might as well just get this graphics card and call it a day: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp43751kr

If you want a high quality, reliable, good performance ssd: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/samsung-internal-hard-drive-mz75e250bam

if you want to spend a little less on the ssd and get a smaller, cheaper one: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/a-data-internal-hard-drive-asp550ss3120gmc

Assuming, the vid card he gets needs ONLY a 6 pin PSU connector, or no PSU connector. The 6850 had 1x 6 pin connector.

Truee I didn't think about that, I'm assuming the 750ti just had one 6pin connector as well though. I can't get the info anywhere to find out for sure.

Looking at the pics I don't even see a 6pin connector lol, is it possible that it just gets powered through the pci slot since it only draws max 60W?

I'll open my computer up and look at my power supply to get you guys more information. My current graphics card uses 2x 6 pin connector I believe :)

you'e definitely good to go on the 750ti, it uses like 1/4 of the power of your old card and will run the sht out of league of legends & path of exile

Just checked it out. Looks like my power supply is the Rosewill Hive 550 watt.

That thing. I built this computer a long time ago (4-5 years?) so most things are a bit outdated I would assume. I just don't wanna spend 1k all at once. My case on the other hand I'm not sure how to find the make/model. It doesn't say anywhere that I can see :D

Sorry I'm not too computer savvy

Perfect,

How hard is it to add a ssd when I already have a hdd? Would it be worth it or just keep rocking my hard drive? hah
