current specs:
CPU: AMD FX-8350 + 212 EVO
GPU: XFX HD 7870
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X 8GB DDR3 2133
Mobo: MSI 970A-G43
HD: Crucial BX100 250GB SSD
PSU: EVGA 600B 600W
Monitor: BenQ XL2411Z

budget: 500$
use: streaming/playing CS:GO+Blade&Soul @ 720p/60FPS while maintaining 120++ FPS

Not sure whether to upgrade GPU or to upgrade CPU/mobo?

your current setup can not stream at 720p/60fps?
Or do you want to upgrade tp 120fps?

Your setup seems fine to me.

Actually ended up buying a EVGA GTX 970 and am noticing a comfortable difference.

Yes i can stream at 720p/60fps currently but it isnt comfortable. On top of it im playing with a 144hz monitor so anything under 144 fps is very noticeable.

Thinking about upgrading CPU/Mobo at this point. Should i upgrade mobo to allow overclocking of current CPU (FX-8350 + 212 EVO) or ditch it altogether and go for a i5/new mobo?

ditch all and go i5/mobo

sell ur 8350

no point buying another mobo only to OC, and risky with that psu anyways if ur planning to OC to make any huge difference.
