Why not skylake? Cheaper and better. Also much better GPU.
That was my office pc build. Had to change PSU since the one i used is not avalible in the USA. Also the Case costs way to much. You might have to choose a different one. For me the case was only 35EUR in germany.

same question. Why go for the older architecure? The G4400 skylake is newer, cheaper, has better single core and better multi core performance and a much better integreated GPU.

It's cheaper and fits his budget, i do agree with your ssd though
also, it's unlocked and you can o/c it straight out of the box with the stock cooler just enough to put it on par with that cpu

Where do you see that it is cheaper? The g3258 costs 64$ and the g4400 costs 59$. Skylake and hasswell cost about the same and the ddr4 ram costs like 5$ more. About what you just saved on the Prozessor.
Overclock... That was a good one.

But seriously. The biggest advantage is the much faster GPU. (About 50% faster). When your not buying any grafics card you should really use the g4400.

Overclocking the g3258 adds a lot of performance..why wouldn't you.

The g4400 is overall not more expensive. Where do you see that an g4400 setup would be more expensive??????

And overclocking a g3258 makes no sense. You either know what you doing, get a BIOS update for the h97m main board and still overclocking will not give you a nice result since that main board is simply not made for overclocking. OR you pay 50$ extra, get a Z main board that supports overclocking. But with the 50$ you could simply by a i3 that will beat the overclocked g3258 by far.

Now please tell me where my thinking process is wrong because it seems logical to me and somehow you two seem to agree on the g3258 as the better choice. I am getting very confused.
