i was going to add a cheaper 4gb vid card.. a gtx 740 which is about $110 more.. but thought if you were to spend the extra money.. you may as well get a 970.. but who knows..

..with the 740** http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GsLXjX

gIel ram IS compatable with the KRAIT mobo ( under Q&A) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820144828

sorry your initial post said you required one.. you can remove that and add the vid card or look at a better vid card if you have more to drop on something better?

e/ otherwise? any specifics as to themed? components?

edited the build to include a overclocked 760, and removed the OS..

we all want a build to be the most cost effective, but builds are typically designed around a persons needs.. I believe ive met all of your needs with that build.. but id still wait a few days and get others builds/others options/input etc..

if you arent too familiar on how to set up a ssd/pagefile on another drive (extends life of ssd) maybe start researching it? or remove the ssd and stick with the mechanical drive, or maybe add an additional 1tb drive?

edited post above ^^

will you submit mail in rebates? if so you may end up spending more initially. there is also other promo codes you can use. asus for example has occasional promo codes for an additional discount on their motherboards, processors and vid cards..

the last build i did is still about $15.00 over your $1050. and that is also after the mail in rebates.. secksi's build is nice, however not themed ( and just myself from personal experience; would not suggest ever using an asrock board, as ive always had nothing but problems with them) but thats just me.. if you had a few hundred extra, id suggest a ddr4 build with a 6600/6600k and a nice 4/6gb 970/390x.. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FbfgkL (modified again, few hundred more)

if you want life of the pc/usability for years, spend more for known good parts, that will also be capable of lasting and performing for at least 5-10 years if thats what you want/looking for in this rig..

ive spent about $2500 on my current setup so far (built 2 months ago), and i'm still not done. theres always something to upgrade to.. however, i know for a fact that it will last at least 10 years with no problems the way it is now..
