I mean in that budget, no i cant.
The fx 6300 is better than an i3. if you could afford that i5 i posted, then I would get that, but otherwise the fx 6300 is a great budget processor.
The "Amd is worse than intel" debate is more complex than "never buy amd" ^_^
In this scenario, amd + better gpu >>>> intel + worse gpu.

and glad they are in stock, i thought i checked. ^^
if you dont get it, find any other R9 380/Gtx 960 that fits your budget.

here's a small example of how i mean:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rutk9ErhKG4

click 2:16 to see the fx 6300 comparison. In the wticher, the i3 is just barely ahead sometimes (and sometimes the fx is ahead, starts to pull ahead once he gets to the town), yet it costs almost 75 dollars more... not worth it!
However if you dropped your GPU down to the next cheapest just to afford the i3, you'd end up losing performance. ^_^

starters linking youtube videos arent the greatest source cuz I can make crap videos like "the tek" showing biased results which are completely inaccurate
use anandtech http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/697?vs=1192
but that is one game, intels new i3s dominate them with ease, even more considering asrock and few companies bios are allowing for overclocking them ez

Sure, but you see the same result here. the i3 is not worth the money in these scenarios, especially since his only care is gamig.
and while i concur the new gen i3's are a good choice, its not in the budget for new ram and the new i3, without giving up pretty heavily on gpu price, as he is in canada, which is crucial info here. ^^

another thing to consider is gfx cards are replaced many times over than cpus/mobo

replacing one component later will be alot more beneficial than replacing the whole system only recycling case psu hdd/ssd

maybe should have that question on building sticky, you see yourself upgrading within 3 yrs cuz it could save cpu bottlenecks and users the need to replace whole system
