Z87-A needs a bios update and it can only be done with an older processor, it doesn't support USB flashing. I recommend an MSI z97 board

Agreed z97 board of your choosing would be ideal

That processor is a little overkill, since games dont use the hyperthreading option of the i7's. I wowuld go with the i7-6700 better, since i can overclock it and pay a LOT less.

ur not making any sense,
if u dont need hyperthreading, u go with i5
i7 4790k you picked has hyperthreading, i7 6700 has hyperthreading too

honestly if i didnt try to build around your entire specific components,
i would've went 980ti with i5 for better perf.

I would prefer the i7-4790k to either i7-6700 or i7-6700k. Isnt the i7-4790k better and the same price as the i7-6700?

Please help me out, maybe i am missing something. I want a good gpu, but a good cpu as well. lmk plz.
