AMD stopped making CPUs for awhile. So if you still want "older" tech, we could. Though it's more wise to buy the latest technology cuz it generally lasts longer.

I thought AMD made pretty much the same product? I've heard tons of good reviews from both sides?

E/ Do I want a full tower or med? Whats the honest difference, my dad helped me build my last one. So I am still fairly inexperienced. So everything everyone says is giving me impressions <3

Full tower is bigger, mid tower is perfectly fine; I personally roll with an mATX mini tower.
