have a plain dell inspiron 660 full size tower (see picture below). i like to play csgo and would play other games too if i had decent fps. right now i get like 30fps when playing cs and it's really annoying (hasnt stopped me from playing 500 hours though).

hoping someone can help me out with suggestions on what to get. from the little bit i've read, it seems like ill need to buy a new power supply to support a decent graphics card? like it says in title, i dont really know anything about computer parts (mechanically savvy enough to install them derp) budget= $400?

reading around i see people saying things like
MSI Computer Video Graphic Card N760 2GD5/OC ITX
ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI E
MSI Radeon R7 260X R7 260X 2GD5 OC 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Your comp has no graphics card, so you will definitely need a new power supply.

I wouldn't spend too much on upgrading prebuild,
So I would get a 750ti which is more than enough for csgo

For psu you got two options

You can invest a lil more $ now to get 750+watt psu, so you can re use that in the future without having to worry about being limited to power problems. Like when you upgrade to a much more power hungry gpu/cpu etc.

Or get quality 450-550w psu for less $ now.

Getting a 750W PSU is overkill in this day and age unless you belong to the <0.1% who are getting multiple high-end GPU's.

Just get the 750ti, it works as is with your current PSU.

If you want, you can get a quality 500W PSU so you can upgrade your computer later along the road (be it a whole new build with the PSU or just new GPU/mobo + CPU w/e). This is not mandatory, as your shit 220W PSU should handle 750ti + low-end Ivy Bridge i5 with ease.

Just to be clear, this is the one we're talking about right? Good price after mail in rebate or should I wait til black Friday?

Could you recommend both a 500 and 700+ watt psu pl0x. Thanks for the help so far :-D

since you got $400 budget, abuse the mail in rebate.
the 750w is the better buy.

and trust me, u do not wanna use ur current no name psu even if you're adding a 750ti.

u may also need a new case, as the power supplies may not fit.

the sale ended, it should've been $26 after everything so nvm for the 550w.

seasonic is a good brand for power supplies, they make those xfx ones. Though it's not worth it anymore, as the price is high now for what they're offering.
750w is made by superflower, which is also a good brand for psu. It's also semi modular, allowing you to only use the cables you actually need, and it tested so well that a bronze rated psu performed like a silver.
