ur wasting a ton of money on an old CPU/mobo, when you could get better/new ones with intel.

ofc it's my opinion, u asked for our opinion wtf?
i have both, i give you the smartest option for your money.
If you want AMD that bad, get 8320/8350 and overclock it urself instead of overpaying an extra $100+.
u also need a power supply and case with decent airflow.

I just thought about going with the 8 core fx 125w cpu. I don't need the black edition that badly for a meer 50 bucks and .4ghz speed..

as for case and psu, I already have that covered

I can tell you don't know what you're doing.

Although you won't listen to correct advice either, so what's the purpose of this thread?

I like amd too. But their processors are antiquated so they have a very specific place in the budget realm.
When buying a PC it is not about what you like, it should be about the numbers and performance.

Intel makes the better processors because theirs are modern. If you want to go AMD go with the Fx 6300. It overclocks very well and stays cooler than any of the 8 cores.
It will also let you buy a better graphics card which is #1 for gaming. If you like AMD so much, get a nice R9 390 with 8GB of vram.

Also don't bother with that cooler. Get a hyper 212 evo. The gemini is kind of for when you need something smaller. I say kind of because other smaller coolers > gemini.

Again, AMD was top dog at one point but right now the Dog is Intel. Again, this isn't 10 years ago. Graphics take priority over an overpriced motherboard and a nice cpu.

Tell us your budget and we will make some builds.

Specific budget? [avoid a wide range] -1000-1300 CAD
Will you complete Mail in Rebates? - depends on how much of a rebate an item is discounted at
Specific Uses for the PC (games, programs) - I play LOL, ladder slasher, occasionally WOW, and D2/D3. aside from that I compose music; along with use my pc to dj, and do photo editing ( Cubase, acid pro, biab, photoshop/cs5)
How much hard drive space do you want or need? - I currently have 3x2tb Seagate barracuda drives ( all sitting approximately 70% capacity) I require an additional 2/3tb drive ( prefer Seagate, no hybrid drives)
Do you want a Solid State Drive? - id love a SSD, but would need one about 500gb.
Do you want to overclock CPU and or GPU? -yes to both, sometimes needed for composition/photo/video editing
Do you need Windows? - I don't need windows as I have windows 7 ultimate retail
Need a Monitor? / Mouse? / Keyboard? - none of the above I use a 42"tv as my computer monitor, and recently replaced my kb and mouse
Will you use wireless or wired internet? - option for both if available, prefer wired, but as it stands at the moment, I have no choice but to go wireless ( N 1200+)
