This is the current GC I am using. However, it's starting to run REALLY REALLY hot lately and if I leave my computer on for a few hours i am starting to get screen tearing and flash player video problems. I think it's time to trash it and get a new one.

I know I want to build a new computer on August 5th when Skyline comes out. I am using an AMD 8350 CPU so I wanted to switch to intel for a cooler run.

Should I buy a 970 or is there something that runs really quiet and low heat that is coming out soon I should hold off for?

You could always RMA it & have it repaired/Replaced. It does have a lifetime warranty.

Personally I think it would come back in worse shape than it already is. I would prefer to go Nvidia because of the heat generated.
