http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-MG279Q-Screen-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B00ZOO348C/ref=zg_bsnr_1292115011_5?tag=amazon0606-20

There's currently only three 1440p 144hz monitors.

The one i linked is the cheapest at around $500~

The Acer Xb270hu is $800~ but comes with G-Sync & ULMB.

The Asus Swift, Has G-Sync, ULMB & 3D. But is a TN panel.

You'll also need a damn beefy PC to run 1440p @ 144hz

I own the xb270hu
so lmk if you have questions

970 won't be enough for decent frarmes unless you are playing not very demanding games or turn settings down quite a bit.

A friend of mine gets roughly 50-60 fps in Witcher 3 with most settings on ultra with a Titan X and non 144hz 1440p monitor.

Yea kinda sux. It's either high res or high refresh rate unless u have a lot of money to drop Gpus and monitors. Maybe u should try dual/triple monitors?

970s are like the best value graphics card right now, but I would not recommend using those to power a 1440p monitor. I'd definitely go with at least a 980 or better for that, 980 ti highly recommended.
