Budget:$600-1000 (cheaper is better but i want something that is gonna still be running things well in a few years
More specific use (what games, what programs): csgo , diablo 3 , poe , dayz those kind of games maybe newer rpgs when they come out still play skyrim and stuff
Planned time until purchase: now-2 weeks
Do you need an Operating System?:yes
Do you have any specific preferred components?:intel
Do you need a sound or wireless card?:dont think so maybe if it helps
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?:stock should be fine i think
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?:monitor (seperate budget i can get this later but would like to see prices on a few realiable 144 hz 19"+ plus monitors)
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): 25430

thanks in advance for any help I can shop around and buy used parts maybe from ebay (like ram ) im gonna want new gpu and cpu for sure

wait a month for the new shit to be released then buy the older model items.. Prices will drop on them within a month from now by a solid 15-20% /per part<-- adds up

Doubt the prices will drop that much at all. The 2600k stayed about the same price when the 3770k launched. The 3770k stayed around the same price when the 4770k launched. The 4770k is still around the same price as the 4790k.

DDR3 RAM will likely not drop in price purely because of the usage saturation. So many people use it that even when DDR4 becomes the standard, the price won't drop drastically for at least a year until DDR4 really catches on - even longer if prices on DDR4 don't drop.

That aside,

If you want to drive down to Fairfax, VA to go to Microcenter, you can save about $90 on the CPU+MoBo combo.

144 Hz monitors are pretty much all 24-27". The prices range from $190 (when on the Acer is on sale) upwards of $800 for the XB270hu (1440p, 144 Hz, IPS). Average price for the "default" panels is about $260 (VG248QE, XL2411Z).

Motherboards are pretty much the only things that drop in price.
