Looking to upgrade from my current Alienware M17x
However this time I'd like to build a PC.
I have some general requirements I have but theres some items that I'm not sure which out performs thee other

The PC will be strictly used for Gaming - D3 and WoW
However I want to be able to have a Browser - Firefox and the ability to use a Mumble or a Vent.
Nothing else is required. I know things are installed just because they have to be, but I want as minimum as possible.

Price Range
750-1250

RAM
8GB - MINIMUM

Processor
i7 - MINIMUM - the numbers the go with it, I don't understand. I just know I want i7

Hard Drive
1TB - MINIMUM

Odds and Ends
Don't worry so much about a case or lights, I can handle that if I go with your build in the end.
I will need a MONITOR - 18"-22" maybe? Your best choice
I can handle a mouse
I'll need at least 1 CD drive. Doesn't need to have to record or anything, just install a game if needed.
2 USB ports would be nice for mouse or headphones.
Mic / Headphone jacks
Ethernet port

What numbers?

And why would you buy something you don't understand?

Strictly playing D3 and WoW? Based on what you've stated you're going to be using it for (web browser, blizzard games, VoIP), how do you justify an i7?

How'd I do.

This is also helpful, to fill this out.

Budget:
More specific use (what games, what programs):
Planned time until purchase:
Do you need an Operating System?:
Do you have any specific preferred components?:
Do you need a sound or wireless card?:
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?:
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?:
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs):

e/
i7 is very overkill for your needs, even the i5, but it'll serve you well for years to come, the "k" version is overclockable, if you decide you want to at some point, it's another $5 so...

With an i7

That'd be the same thing as someone buying car that doesnt know engines?
Build the computer I asked for or don't.. No need spam.

For the PSU: I would get the GS over the G1, especially for the same price.

Quite rude for him simply asking why you want an i7 if you don't know what it does. To shed some light and not be spam, you 100% do NOT need an i7. It'd be a waste in your budget to get one for your purposes.

Mind elaborating? The GS like the G2 version?
I actually saw the GS was another $8 over the G1.

I was originally looking @ the 550w, but it's another $3, probably because it's GS.
This would be fine too --- http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220gs0550v1
