This is my current build and what stands out the most to me at least personally what i think would be nice is possibly a 970 or 980 and a 27" monitor what would you pick first or what would you suggest? Load times for games seem fine etc.. its just overall i think my graphics could be quite better..

Thanks in advance

I would SLI two 970's over a 980, personally.

Otherwise, a single 970 is going to give you double the performance of your current setup.
As for monitor, up to you but, who is going to argue against a bigger display? ^_^

GO can GO away, is right

What's your budget for your upgrade(s)?

That's a solid build overall but what games are you talking about?

How close are you to your monitor? What resolution are you running? What Hz (refresh rate)?

I'd agree with a new GPU and you'd be set.

Won't go wrong with a 970 either, plus free Witcher 3 ;)

Nice sig btw B)

Just get a GTX 970, and you'll be fine for just about anything.

WOW Tell me you recognized Rings of Saturn?! haha, as for the games i play mostly mmo's but as of currently some pretty basic stuff i would say like guild wars 2, diablo 3 and hearthstone thats really it right now, and my budget is honestly just something thats reasonable to purchase im not looking for anything to crazy like a titan or something, something that gets the job done nicely like a 970 thats perfect range

You mean, DINGIR, fuckin' right! They're a close 2nd to Whitechapel to me ^_^
Actually I was originally looking to use that same cover as my sig buuut I couldn't find the right image and I no nothing of re-sizing or anything of the sorts w/o it looking like ass so I had sig made w' the one and only :)
How do you like Lugal Ki En? I love it, they killed it imo...

Yes, the 970 would be money for you, Msi, Asus, Gigabyte, EVGA, either of these will suit you well.
If you're mostly playing mmos then any monitor will do just fine. Higher hertz monitors, such as 120/144Hz are more optimized from fps games / first-person shooter games.
If you're rockin' 1080 res then I'd recommend a 23" or 24" since that's a sweet spot for 1080.
I have a 27" @ 1080 and (as many people say) I'd rather it was either 24" @ 1080 or 27" @ 1440, but I'm not complaining, doesn't ruin the experience so no biggy. I also sit too close as my desk is too small for the time being, but if I were a little farther away it'd probably be more enjoyable.
