looking to purchase a decent motherboard to compliment my cpu and gpu, any suggestions? thx

im wondering z97 chipset or x99? is ASRock decent? they seem pretty well priced.
my last build used gigabyte and runs well, msi looked nice too

4690k does not fit in motherboards that run the x99 chipset. You need an LGA 1150 motherboard (80 and 90 series chipsets).

what about the gigabyte ga z97x sli? or the msi z97s sli krait ed.? the gaming3/5 is probably better than those eh

price isn't really an issue btw, i don't mind paying 200 for a solid mobo.
last mobo i bought for myself was asus rog crosshair iv formula, it was expensive but it lasted for like 8 years.
i looked at the maximus vii hero, it's shiny.

ya gaming 5 uses higher quality components than 3.

, go for maximus ranger or something like that though if you could afford it
