I'm a PC gamer who has a high end PC (built in 2009/ still runs most games max settings 60 fps with upgraded gpu/ssd) over 500 games on steam library and experience with modding/ optimizing with nvidea inspector.

Recently, I've been deciding whether I should drop 2k-3k on a new gaming PC or get a PS4.

I understand the pros/ cons of each and if I end up getting the PS4, I will still keep my PC for MMO/MOBA/RTS.

The reason I am looking to get a PS4 is for the convenience of plug and play and the time I will save in the long run by not having to optimize/ tweak/ mod my games.

I also have a huge chunk of friends who game on the PS4 exclusively and with the remaster releases of Dark Souls 2 and Borderlands 2/ pre sequel, I see that there is still hope for a Skyrim/ Mass Effect Trilogy and other GG remasters.

Anyone here have a PS4 and can give me feedback on why or why I shouldn't get it?

Performance issues with frame rates/ choppy gameplay?

Bad anti aliasing?

Please help me come to a decision.

If your pc is still that good then I would get a ps4 to play with friends.

Tell them to switch to PC. Problem solved.

It's one or the other guys.
If I get a PS4, I'm also gonna have to invest in some games as I will only be using PC for MMO/MOBAS.

which means u got 1k for ur games lol.

Because $3k won't cover your needs....


They say $3k, but they really mean $1k...maybe closer to $500 or less.

$ is not the issue.
If I get the PS4, I will rarely game on the PC and this is why I won't invest in it.

Did you really just come here looking for someone to tell you to go get a PS4?
