the KFA2 gtx 970 is from GALAX.
the ram is the cheapest one there is, and it is 2x4gb

will be gaming on the PC ofc.

i will be re-using my PSU, SSD, HDD and case from my current build.

if you plan to overclock your cpu, youll need a K version. If not, you can find a cheaper motherboard with chipsets B85 or H97.

not planning on oc'ing. what is the gain/loss by going with a B85 or H97 chipset instead of the Z97?

can save like 200 kr (40$) by getting the h97 chipset.
can save alot more by going with the B85 chipset, like 400-500 kr (80-100$), so.. what to choose?
however, those MOBOs are micro-atx
cheaper the better, without loosing performance tho?

performance wont be affected. you just get less features like sata ports, usb ports, etc.

screw that.. i only need 3-4 usb ports :P

what about the cpu? should i go for the 4690k instead? i can spend the extra 300 kr (60$) for it, but is it worth it for gaming? :)

If you get the 4690k, youll want to pair it with a z97 motherboard. I like to overclock my i5 and helps in certain situation, but it doesnt have a game changing advantage. if youre curious about overclocking, i say get the 4690k and a z97.

youll need to spend a bit more for an aftermarket cpu cooler. the Coolermaster 212 plus/evo is a good cooler for the price. what power supply are you using?

according to this: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-6.html
there is no reason to get a 4690k over a 4460 if im not oc'ing, and im not planning on oc'ing right now..
dunno about the future lol
my current PSU is a corsair tx850

overclocking isnt for everybody.
if you want to spend a little less, you could get a 8320e/8320/8350 with an AMD 970 motherboard.
