So I believe my graphics card just went out. I was playing a game and all of a sudden it minimized or alt-tabbed and there were like pink lines going across my screen. I can still see the desktop and all that but still there are few thin pink liens across the screen.

I checked to make sure it wasn't the monitor by plugging it into integrated motherboard card and monitor is okay so I'm thinking this is the GPU. This means the GPU is done for right? Can't fix it?

If it's not fixable I need some suggestions on a good budget video card. The one I had before is ASUS GTX 670. It's probably outdated now so don't know what's good since I stopped keeping up with PC components and what not.$

The lower cost the better. Don't really have a dollar amount because I don't know what$ 200 or so will get me. Will $150 or less get me anything?

I mainly play games like cs go, dota 2, bf4, borderlands 2, batman, etc at 1920x1080.

An AMD R9 290 is about $240, the best price/performance card right now is the GTX 970 at about $330

/e But if possible, test the vid card in another comp to make sure. Also the vid card may still be under warranty.

Pick up a 270 or 270x. Should be 150. 280 is also an option in that price range sometimes.

Yeah and the R9 series are fookin space heaters. They should be marketed as home appliances. Ofc, it could be worse, they could have horribad drivers....oh wait, they do. :/
