Willing to give fg out to someone who can help me.

I have never built a computer before - but i've heard from ppl on here and good friends that buying parts and putting one together can save you a crap ton of $$.

I did want to buy a pre-made one but im not sure.

This comp will be used for streaming/web searching/and gaming - i want good graphics.

my budget would be about $1000-1200 but I can go more if it's worth paying more for parts that are worth it.

Let me know guys.

Also stealing this from another thread to make it easier.

Budget: $1000-1200 USD
More specific use (what games, what programs): gaming - d2, bf, hearthstone, etc - any current game
Do you need an Operating System?: yes
Do you have any specific preferred components?: SSD, intel cpu
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: i need a wireless card/sound card would be awesome if worth it
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: not sure if this is worth it?
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: i need all of these and also 2 monitors

Could always run a little more out of the budget and have some beastly streams.

I would say go with a 980 for the streaming if you're going to be playing games like BF4 farcry etc etc.

And there are always cheaper options, just depends how great you want the quality of the stream.

Meaning you could go from a pretty basic motherboard.. to something that would support overclocks better so you can push the performance of the cpu

Or buying a faster/more efficient graphics card that may cost more.

When overclocking, the difference between a 70$ and a 200$ Z97 mainboard will be totally negligible, especially considering the 4790k as your CPU option.
Out-of-the-box, that CPU is already highly overclocked and often enough very close to the sweet spot and only stable at higher voltages. Wouldn't expect any results better than 4,5-4,6 GHz on all cores, unless you buy a pre-tested one.
GTX 980 = wasted money as well.

Edited the previous build a little to include a HDD.
Additional storage + less noise in red/black for less money as well.
