$1700 Tax Refund
Looking to overclock a bit. Want to pump as much power as possible out of this machine to last me as long as possible. Needs to do video editing, sound, and gaming. Play all blizz games with multiple games at same time and want to run Hitman Absolution at nice settings. I have a 2TB external currently so HD size is not too big of a issue. I built this so far. Only thing I dont know is if this MOBO will work with my GPU? LMK

Wait, are there some parts you currently have, or is this all new?

Parts I currently can re-use - External 2TB HD, Wireless Adapter. So pretty much all new.

Assuming everything else is new, it seems like you've had that build list saved up for more than a year. If so, you need a serious update.

ImO take this build, but change the CPU cooler to one of the following:
- http://pcpartpicker.com/part/thermalright-cpu-cooler-hro2revabw = Thermalright HR-02 Rev. A B/W --> cheapest of all, but it'll get the job done just fine. Also black/white theme.
- http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cryorig-cpu-cooler-crr1b = Cryorig Universal R1 --> black/white theme and a beast.
- http://pcpartpicker.com/part/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk019 = Dark Rock Pro 3 --> black theme, cheaper than AiO while being almost silent.

Then swap that case for one of these:

That PSU is kind of overpowered, but it'll allow for a second GTX 970 if you come to think of SLi...
