Looking to build a Desktop PC, used mainly for gaming. I play D3 and League of Legends mostly, but would still like to run more graphically-intensive games at high-ultra when available. I would like opinions on everything from the processor to video card to RAM amount/brand. If anyone has had bad experiences with a part or has been pleasantly surprised when buying a cheaper piece, I would like to know. Thank you!

- Budget: At least $200 at MicroCenter (I have gift cards) and then $500 anywhere else. /edit: As more people are pointing out, more money would make this easier. I could go to $700 anywhere else + $200 MicroCenter, but that is maxing the budget currently. Thanks again, guys :D
- Zip Code or Location: 45013
- Specific Use: Gaming, Recording/Streaming, light editing of footage
- Any preferred components?: I'm open to all opinions
- Any spare parts you can re-use?: N/A
- Overclocking your processor?: If need be and it is within budget, but I don't see it being necessary

- Preferred Case Features (Ex: Color, Side Window, Flashy): Something unique would be sweet, but unnecessary. I will probably find the case myself and not include the case cost in my budget (unless it comes out of the $200 MicroCenter)

700 and needing a monitor/mouse/keyboard is gunna be very hard, especially since you want 2 monitors

Well, I can settle and use cheap pieces for a mouse/keyboard now. I have never had a mechanical keyboard or high-end mouse, so using what I have for my laptop at the beginning wouldn't be a big deal to me or change my gaming that much. I can splurge on those later. The monitor though...yeah. I have a small 19" TV I used as a monitor for a little while, but I would like two matching ones. Which may also be something that has to wait. I can settle for one monitor right now. I just put my intended end-result in case anybody has any deals they see or know about ^_^ Thanks!

when are you purchasing and will you do rebates? Rebates on a low budget can make serious difference.
also is win 7 included in budget? do you have any other way to get it?

Parts that have a custom price are ones you pick up from MC. The monitors are refurbs, but I bought two of them a couple of days ago from my own MC, and they seem to work fine. You have to buy DVI cables for them though.

I would like to purchase before the week is over, but if I wait until next, I will have more time and the budget will have a little more flex to it.
I will definitely do rebates, it's free money sitting there! :D
Yeah, I am not worried about the price of Win7 in the budget :x

Nice! This definitely gives me a good idea on parts and pricing. Like I said, never done this before. I will have to browse my MC and check on their refurbished monitors. I'm always weird about stuff like that because I usually end up with the short end of the stick when I buy anything used >_<

This... Try get as much as you can off CraigsList actually, just if it's hardware make sure it works (Only go to meet them if they're willing to plug it in and show you, be it a monitor or a stick of RAM), you might even be able to find a pre-build PC on there for less than the parts would cost you. I'm not sure you'll be able to build a computer (with 2 monitors at that) able to run all the games out there on ultra AND record at the same time while maintaining 60fps framrate under $700, so I'd check this first ^_^
