Old tech for nostalgia

Cost < $200 altogether, including monitors, eyefinity enabled, plays everything I throw at it 30+ fps 4800x900 res, most games at med+ settings (much harder to find similar 1080p monitors when thrifting)

C2D e8600 @ 4ghz
Single HD 5850 @ bios mod 925/1200 1.162v
8gb Ddr2 @ 967mhz 4/5/5/4

Hoping to luck out and find an old IBM mech for a few bucks.

Can that 5850's core speed be raised more? I'm betting on that being the bottleneck excluding multi-player, loading, or other situations needing more CPU power, RAM bandwidth, or lower RAM latency.

The CPU bottleneck sits at ~35fps, that's about what the GPU can push at these resolution playing something somewhat demanding. The GPU is also limited by its own vram.
