I'm looking to get a laptop for gaming/video editing.
Possibly wanting to get a alienware laptop and need help on how I should build it because on the site it gives lots of different building options.
Or should I look into getting a different type of laptop for a bit less and still great for gaming.

Laptops are not meant to be used as primary video editors and gaming machines. They components in them wear out much faster.

well tbh cant get a desktop because its for my brother who is in the marines and when he leaves his MOS school he doesn't really have the room to carry a desktop

oh and forgot to mention needs to be able to handle good games like starcraft2, maybe some FPS games, diablo 3 in the future

Harder you push a laptop, the quicker it can break. That said, best to get a custom laptop with some hefty cooling.

Ide rather go dell before Msi.
