I need help building a gaming computer of a budget around 500$. I'm canadian so I use newegg.ca and tigerdirect.ca.

your best route at that budget is likely to go with a 785g motherboard (decent onboard chipset), something like 500-550w power supply, maybe antec 200 case or antec 300, something cheap, 250-320gb hdd, re-use your optical and harddrive if you can, then a high end dual core AM2 or AM3 socketed processor, depending on what fits

yeah, thats the kind of graphics card you buy if your looking to play things like WC3, D2, WoW, and other lighter graphic MMOs


wont be fantastic, and in fact, the onboard on the 785g will do most games that card can, albiet on lower graphics settings, but that also saves you $75 you can put into a better power supply, processor, or to save up for a better card, i would recomend a 4850 or a 5770

I must call this term to be true, we don't refer to any computer as gaming in Canada if you don't have at least 800 to spend, even then its fairly mediocre :|
