Well its about that time to build myself a new computer, I'm looking to order this one very soon and would like to get some second opinions on this build.

This is the build I have planned so far:
LIAN LI PC-60FWB Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail
ASRock X58 Extreme LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601920 - Retail
2x SAPPHIRE TOXIC Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail
2x CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TR3X6G1600C9 - Retail
CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Retail
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card - Retail
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3750528AS 750GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - OEM
SAMSUNG Black 22X DVD Burner Black SATA Model SH-S223B - OEM
ZALMAN CNPS9900LED 120mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler - Retail

comes out to ~$1600 which is a little pricey but still within my budget.
can anyone give me feedback on what they think of this build, if I should change anything around for better performance or a better price or any criticism at all would be much appreciated.
I plan on making this order before this weekend cause I need to get this running very soon. (my primary comp crapped out on me earlier this week)
will be getting a second opinion from some of my tech friends tonight, and more opinions are always good for me. someone recommended this forum so I figured I'd drop in and see what advice you guys would have to offer. thoughts?

is crossfire worth it?
this is one of the things I'm wondering about. Is there a card that would serve me better than 2x 4870 at a cheaper price?
is software compatibility with crossfire a problem?

ASRock, I have never heard of it. Sounds like a solid build though. I'd still choose a 5870 over a 2 4870's.

Why would you get an ASRock mobo with an i7 build? If you're spending $1600 do:

SLI 285's or 1 5870.. A single 5870's kickin ass right now, I'd honestly wait for 300 series. Generally you want to SLI on an intel board and xf on an amd board.
Foxconn Bloodrage x58 mobo
i7 920
and the rest of the shiz you chose.

Good case
Good mobo
Great CPU
I'd drop the two 4870's and get a 5870 or 5850.
Good RAM
That PSU is nice, but may be overkill for you. Not going to make much of a difference though.
Sound card
Fast HDD
Good ODD
As for that CPU cooler, it's decent. The megahalem is pretty much the best rated lga 1366 cooler atm, but if you don't plan on overclocking too hardcore, it doesn't matter. If you're not overclocking at all, you won't REALLY need an aftermarket cooler.

Overall, it's a nice build! ASRock isn't a bad manufacturer. These guys are crazy. If you aren't an overclocking enthusiast, it'll work just fine. It's got standard 1366 features, so you're not missing out on much, if anything.
I don't know how you price that at $1600 though? Are you from US?

how many boards are xf and sli
theres no generally
sli 285s is 600+bux
why say that
crossfire 5850s or 5870 is the only good choice for dx11 performance
untll fermi comes out
