Looking for thoughts/suggestions on a new build (mine is about a decade old now - time to think about an upgrade)

Details:

- Prefer AMD processor
- Do not want a huge case (currently have the CM storm striker and the think is monstrous)
- series 40 video card
- 32+ gigs of ram
- Do not need anything fancy for SSD, as I have extras in my current one I can swap over
- All-In-One liquid cooler

- I like clean-looking setups (white/light colors, etc - open to suggestions here)

Budget:
I would like to keep it around $1500 +/-

Thanks for your time and input!

Did you want an AIO cooler just for the aesthetic? An AMD processor can get by just fine with an air cooler in your price range.

Also are you willing to go to a Microcenter nearby? That'd drop the price a bit if you can pick up one of their RAM/Motherboard/CPU bundles

I do have a Microcenter about an hourish from me, so that is not an issue.

As for the AOI cooler, I like the look but also, pets - I have a husky and the fur is crazy :D
Just think it would be quieter as well.

Ah gotcha! That makes sense. Here’s a black themed build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jFptvj

Using this bundle from Microcenter will take off ~$200 https://www.microcenter.com/product/5006709/amd-ryzen-7-7800x3d,-asus-b650-e-tuf-gaming,-gskill-flare-x5-series-32gb-ddr5-6000-kit,-computer-build-bundle

Couple things:
You can get away with a different AIO cooler, but this one has a nice screen. Might be able to save ~$40 getting a different one.

The case is smaller than yours, but I wasn’t sure how much smaller you wanted to go. It’s also tempered glass and I know that’s a dealbreaker for some. Pretty easy to pick another black one that fits your style though

Edit: Oh wait I just saw you like white/light colors, let me see if I can find those colors instead

Yea, I like the esthetics with the white (rgb with something light pink etc is cool too).

The main goal is to get something decent than last me another 5+ years :)

That Bundle is actually not so bad, as far as your Case // AIO I would recommend Lian Li Lancool 216 RGB and Lian Li ALC360 360mm

I would however recommend you head over to Microcenter to see ALL your options, normally the specialist can help you pick the parts you want based on your Budget and Needs, as well as recommend upgrades based on what you pick as far as Case // CPU.

What will the build be used for?
Just games (which? target resolution? raytracing? etc.)?
Production work (image/video editing? compiling? etc.)?

As for case, I'm personally eyeing the ASUS Prime AP201 (mATX) and the Fractal North series'.

But yeah as stated before me, there's likely going to be decent bundles in Microcenter atm. Probably a lot of B650 motherboard bundles, I'd imagine.

Don't buy Intel atm.

Oh no, steering clear of the Intel dumpster fire :D

Using it for:
- Gaming (does not need to be crazy 8k raytracing stuff - just needs to run games without issue)
- May eventually be used for programming and game development (mostly in UE5)

Sorry got busy last night but here's a white build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9CD6GP using this Microcenter bundle https://www.microcenter.com/product/5006822/amd-ryzen-7-7800x3d,-asus-b650-a-rog-strix-gaming-wifi,-gskill-flare-x5-series-32gb-ddr5-5200-kit,-computer-build-bundle

Price should be around ~$1500 and uses the case Deported suggested(personally using a Lian Li case as well) but like they've stated going to Microcenter is a good idea too. There's a nice section that displays their popular cases for you to see what you like.

Sadly Microcenter doesn't have bundles with pure white mobos/RAM, but with this case there's a compartment to hide the black power supply away from the rest of the build so it doesn't clash

Thanks :)

Another thought - am I better off waiting on the video card until they announce the 50 series cards and hope for a possible price dip?
