when i use built in snip-it, win+shft+s
pasting seems to distort the image an text etc
is this because i am on a 4k set up and its condensing it?
it doesnt always look too terrible it varies but it seems like its higher res when i paste

i dont think its the program its a pc setting.

Try dropping the resolution to something other than 4k and taking a snip
See if same problem happens.

Or, for the sake of using what ya have, do a basic scrn shot even on 4k
I use ctrl-alt-prntScrn to only take a scrn of the active window.
Then open Paint and paste (ctrl-v) it in there. Crop to your heart's desire.

Using Paint, then save it in a format of your choice.
Then, take a look at it. If it is fuzzy, I would go for what many have shared and try another prnt scrn app.
