Okay so I have settled between these 2.
both are 300 bucks

This is the MSI 30 inch Optix Im looking at

Both seem almost identical they are exact same price. The asus has a bunch of extra features that supposedly help with contrast and the darker colors and the msi has FRC to do this.
I dont know how gimmicky the asus extra features are.

The MSI has a usb C port which is nice but the Asus came out more recently

The Asus sits lower which will be nice because the desk it will be on has one of them platform raisers

The MSI says its grey 2 grey response time and the asus doesnt (nor can i find it anywhere)

both claim to have mprt of 1ms



Any input would be mighty helpful guiz I need my nerds that have 5000 dollar pcs but play diablo 2 in here stat


PS: I know it wont effect d2r visability but other games I play it will.

I don't know much about the Asus, but I do know a bit about the MSI MAG301CR2.

It suffers from ghosting, this is the main complaint on that model. It's one of those items that seems almost too good to be true for the price, and indeed it is.

When I was looking at new monitors, I had considered the MSI MAG301CR2 until I did a deep dive research on it, took a hard pass.

why you do dis to me? :c My gut says go with asus as for1 I didnt even know about the msi til i was looking up specs on the asus and it said similar models. also it doesnt have as many bells and whistles like trying to boast 10bit with FRC or saying it has 1ms grey2grey. it came out after the MSI as well by an entire year so they could have seen what msi did and didnt do that XD

Hahah I was originally so hyped for the MSI ~ like you said hopefully Asus waited 1 year to perfect the 29.5" Ultrawide 1080p 200hz...
