Hi folks,

I'm trying to create visual documents for a large audience at work and there's a few visual impaired people that would need to be aware of those documents.
I was made aware of two screen reader programs that they can use : Jaws and Windows Narrator.

I was told that those screen readers could read .pdf files, but when i'm testing a few, it's only reading the options around the screen (i.e. : File, Edit, etc.) and the document title.
I made sure that there was actual text in the .pdf and not just a picture, but it seems that both screen reader doesn't capture it properly.

Am I doing something wrong or missing something? Or it's maybe not true that those programs could read .pdf files?

Thanks for the help :) !

Have you tried looking at tutorials on youtube? There should be some showing you how to use the program correctly.

They can but its a frustrating experience and often get these complaints when people purchase licenses via work. My advice is convert the PDF to an actual document it can read effectively or copy them over to PowerPoint etc for presentation purposes. If the text is in a picture for example it will definitely flat out not work

The problem 99% of the time is the PDF not the software.
