Just got done building a new PC, and am having a beep code every time I start up. Not sure if it's memory or not, but I get the code regardless of how many sticks of ram I use.

Motherboard is EVGA 690 classified, using G.Skill DDR5 6400.

Made a quick video, because I can't tell if this is 3 + 3 beeps, or 3 + 4 beeps ><

it's 3+3

The beep codes should be in your manual, or at worst somewhere on EVGA's website.

3 beeps is memory issue such as reseat ram or broken ram( unlikely)
However we hear 3 short and 3 really fast which is 6. Which states Keyboard Controller Failure, troubleshoot keyboard, motherboard

So my idea would be disconnect all the usb peripherals and try booting. If that doesnt work try reseating all components. If that doesnt work try one ram in a slot. If that doesnt work. Try without gpu in ( if you can)

So that was fun. If I remove my USB mouse and keyboard, I now get 1 beep, followed by 3 beeps, followed by 3 much scarier beeps... If I put those back in, remove my ram down to 1 slot, I get 3 + 3. With no GPU, I still get 3+3. Tried every ram stick as 1 slot, still get 3+3. So that told me... maybe nothing? Unless it's my mobo. Why the beep codes changed without my USB I have no idea, but those sounded much worse lmao.

Do you have any spare ram you can try? I've had issues with new ram before and boot errors. I only buy mobo's with LED Signal Beeps for ease lolz.

Def try another set of ram if you have it. At least determines if you want to pursue if it's MOBO, etc.

e/ i see now it's DDR5 so you probably don't have spare ram.

err GL

There isn't one, it's only a beep code. Motherboard code area displays cpu temperature once the motherboard decides everything is running correctly, which is the really confusing part.

I'm waiting back for a reply from EVGA, also hoping they can help me get my RAM up to any speed above 4000mhz... my 6400mhz RAM lol. Apparently EVGA motherboards lack the one setting you need to change to make DDR5 work with 12th gen Intel ><

Well, EVGA's customer support has gone drastically down hill. Having to repeat the same answers 5 or 6 times because they just don't listen. According to them, my $700 motherboard and $950 RAM is running correctly at 4,000 mhz, without any support for any XMP profiles that all send me to boot loop. And the beep codes? Well, they have no idea. After getting the supervisor of the supervisor, their final solution was to offer me an RMA and they would send me out the exact same board that they just got done telling me wouldn't support any of the hardware I'm running, even though they advertise it will.

All this sh*t is going back to Amazon and I'll go back to Gigabyte, which I've never had an issue with, and I know for a fact their MASTER board will run my RAM at 6400mhz with the click of one setting.

Good to hear. Sounds like evga Customer service is full of clowns. Imagine paying a lot of money for a product that doesnt work, sounds fucking mental.
