Just bought a
WD Black 500gb D30 Game Drive SSD
and it seems to be unable to format to the xbox one, and when I try to set it as a capture device it says
"To capture game clips and screenshots externally, storage must be USB 3.0 or faster. This device is too slow."

I wanna double check that this is definitely the wrong device and the guys at microcenter were dumb for setting me
up with this before I return it and look like an idiot.

If it can work for D2R on xbox one and I can set it up and you can help me even better. Will tip higher

Format it with computer then try to format it with the Xbox?

If it can't format sounds like a faulty drive and should get it replaced. Can try hook it up to a PC and see if it detects it and can format it.
