Hello My IPad bought from 2015 recently been going from 15% battery left to Zero and suddenly last couple week it won’t turn on even when I tried few plugs to charge it.

Plug and wires gets warm, IPad gets warm but still won’t turn on. I’m suspecting IPad Battery need to be replaced? Recently I replaced the cracked screen.

What you guys Think is the Problem and the Fix? Just don’t wanna loose some memories from the IPad. :)

Yeah definitely battery. Batteries only have so many charge/discharge cycles. I recommend you replace it with a new one. However, its apple so it may he pricey but they have now introduced the right to repairs so it is easier to get spare parts and do not get a knock off battery they can be dangerous.

Thanks for reply! That’s one option I’m looking into.

You r right about getting a good battery, what you mean knock off battery? Like fake cheap stuff? I would assume buy the battery from a good company or good brand? Maybe even directly from Apples online store lol

The batteries look authentic, however the capacity says 1500mah, but its really only 1000mah, also i brought a knock batt for my s9 and it works but it heats up when charging which it never did with the original batt. You can buy from apple or if ur in the right location ifixit does them for a good price

An Internal battery is not Required to turn on an IPAD when charging.
Not saying that you don't have a bad / end of life battery, but simply would not be the cause.

Would Recommend using a High Quality Charging Cable to help eliminate the issue.

Hi, I have a Ipad Air 2 for around 10 months now and it recently got really hot and just turned off, after it turned off I couldn't turn it on anymore.
It also had a bad smell to it on the edge of the right side. I let it cool down, charged it and tried to restart it but even after that my Ipad still won't turn on.

Possible Solutions.

Press the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and hold them for at least 10 seconds.

If this does not help, take a look these Apple Support articles:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support

Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

As a final step, try the recovery mode. Turn your device off, then plug it to your computer with the home button pressed.
Keep the Home button pressed until you see the iTunes logo on the screen of your iPhone.
After that on your computer you should see the iTunes window saying your iPhone needs to be restored to factory settings. Click on the restore button.
