currently have some sennheiser 558s, had them for about 10 years. is there anything in the market now in this range that would be a heck of a lot better or should i just stick with these? mostly just play games
or should i invest in an amp of some sort

Idk if o2+odac is still relevant, it’s the combo I’ve been using for years.

Best headphones for… what purpose though?
Some good headphones for mixing would be Vmoda Crossfade M100, stylist too, just like a gothic plate.

Ah, in that case I think a great and unexpected option would be the Pulse 3D for Playstation, you'll be surprised at the quality vs price.
(Yes it works on PC)
