I got a m.2 for my pc roughly about 2 months ago. Just seemed to have started now and is very very random. But pc crashes and the "boot" light flashes on my mobo. Could go days without happening and than will randomly happen. (Ive only had it happen when playing a game if i recal correctly.)
Is it likely my m.2 is faulty ? Maybe not fully seated properly ? Or possibly my windows be corrupt ?

Not exactly sure what the issue is.

Hey Jam,

Sorry to hear about your M2 having problems,

This could be due to a variety of issues, so lets try to rule some out before getting a replacement.

I suggest start with the easiest part - to check if there are any problems to RAM. Use a RAM check program (some inncluded in UBCD toolkit) and let it run for some hours - preferably overnight - to ensure there is nothing bad with your RAM.

Second : Read through your motherboard manual and make sure there are no conflict about having the HDD connected to the current sata connector.
In not sure, you could always just try to swap sata connector until the system behaves more stable (if that is the initilal cause of the issue).

Thanks for the response. This is actually the worst its ever been. Did it 4 times in the past hour. But u are suggesting some mobos dont like other hdds connected ? Cuz i have 2 other ssds and a hard drive.
I will look into the manual asap.

My ram is brand new. But i will run a test over night to be sure.

Has the issue started since installing the new RAM?

Well i upgraded my ram at the same time i got m.2.
This ram is definetly alot more stable than my last.
I am running x -amp
But this new ram recognized speeds instantly. Speeds never reset on crashes or anything.
Where as my old ram was a bit unstable.

Testing my ram now with memtest86. Going to bed leaving it running. Will update tomorrow!

Memory test was fine. Says it only ran for 3:30 which is weird i slept alot longer than that.
But no errors. Will get on updating the m.2 firmware. Wasnt aware there was firmware for it.
