is this being held up against a budget or anything? if you're not proposing a particular price:performance goal or a game target then the 11700k wins no contest because the i9 is not a "K" SKU

Ya I checked with Central computers they checked my motherboard and only supports 10th gen

Why does the motherboard only support up to 10th gen? Both 10th gen and 11th gen are the same socket. Maybe your motherboard doesn't have PCIe Gen4 (which isn't supported by 10th gen)?
