If you end up getting a lower 3000 series NVidia GPU (like 3060 or 3060 Ti) or even any 2000 series NVidia GPU, then I think it's best if you keep the rest.
If you end up getting a 3080 GPU, then I think it's better if you upgrade everything just to make things on par. This option is also recommended if you're planning to play graphic intensive games.
I actually just got lucky and got a 3080ti from a bestbuy drop. I'm gonna try it with my current setup but since I got it, definitely plan on upgrading everything. I honestly don't even play super graphic intensive games, but I like to play at 144 fps and some games even on low settings I just cant hit that with my current 1070
