So below is my current build. I play alot of league, D2R, RS, WoW occasionally, and will want a good pc for when good titles come out. Is it even worth upgrading anything on this currently?



GFX Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0, 8GB GDDR5X, RGB LED, 10CM FAN, 10 Power Phases, Double BIOS, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) Graphics Card 08G-P4-6286-KR

RAM: G.SKILL 16GB (2 x 8GB) TridentZ Series DDR4 PC4-25600 3200MHz for Intel Z170 Platform Desktop Memory F4-3200C16D-16GTZ

MOBO: ASUS Z170-A ATX DDR4 Motherboards

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E250B/AM)

CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler, Black

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K 4.00 GHz Unlocked Quad Core Skylake Desktop Processor,

M2 drive: 1 TB

Case: Forgot the case but not important, dont plan on changing this

Monitor: Dell Gaming S2716DGR 27.0" Screen LED-Lit Monitor with G-SYNC

I would probably wait a bit. The Z690 motherboards and alder lake CPUs just came out, but finding the DDR5 RAM is a little tough.

...and I don't know why the cart says 8 core. That's a 12 core CPU.

gpu would be nice if you could get it at msrp

no worries, ill keep this in mind. it still runs things fairly well. so i can wait a bit.

GPUs i hear are priced to stupid amounts. just curious... is there a huge gap between what I currently have to what is considered "good" today?

if you scored a new 3080 you might lose 25% plus on the average just from cpu alone considering you are playing at 1440p

but all depends on the games you play, which the ones you named might help i dont know if those if those games are cpu dependent or use more cores

i'd just wait and save until you can just do whole new rig
