Buddy cracked his laptop screen but the rest of the machine is still fine, where's a good place to purchase a new one? Dell latitude 5570 if that matters

I'm guessing it's Dell Latitude E5570? Are you missing an E? If it is, then link is below to how to replace the screen.

As to where you can buy replacement screens, try the used markets like *** When I searched on Google, it does have some sellers on Amazon and NewEgg. So I'm not sure what you're doing wrong when you try searching. That or I don't understand what exactly you're looking for.

It looks like there are multiple versions of e5570 that have been released. You'd have to determine which year it's from, and how easy it is to repair (either find a repair manual or YouTube disassembly/repair video). You also have to determine what panel the particular year model uses, and if it's available through a place like *** There might be two options here: a) Either the panel itself, which will require your friend to disassemble the entire screen cover, and replace it, or b) Someone might be selling a fully assembled cover with panel together, which might require less work installing.

If that doesn't work out, your friend can also buy a stand along monitor, and attach it through VGA or HDMI port, but at that point the laptop won't be as portable.

Again, aside from the used markets such as eBay and Mercari and OfferUp, there isn't a good store.

I've used eBay to replace my old Alienware piece by piece and also, Parts People.

You're going to have the same damn success/luck using eBay or any other used markets including a simple Google search.

probably the dell site or ebay is my best guess as to where you can find a new screen for this.
