Hi,

I have this pc:
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU:
Intel Core i5 @ 2.70GHz
Skylake 14nm Technology

Ram:
16GB
Motherboard:
Acer Predator G3-710 %1 chipset

Graphics:
G2460PG (1920x1080@144hz)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970(saphire)

Storage:
119GB LITEON CV1-8B128(SSD)
931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1SB102 (sata)

Optical drives:
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GHD0N

Audio:
Realtek High Definition Audio

I have put every windows settings for max fps, followed several fps guides. (i miss to tell the pc that its 32GB ram, and to set 4 in the timbroker svc in regedit)
I have set 2 of 4 cores in the modern warfare file.
I free up ram with "intelligent standby cleaner"
I clean this prior to gaming:
%temp%
Prefetch
Flush dns servers. (yes i use Google dns 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4)

I also make sure to have all apps in the back ground off, dark colors Windows, no other programs used, few icons on desktop and so on.

I have very unstable fps, it gets worse every update.
Its between 50 and 90+ usually.
The GPU is average on 11-14 ms (1000/11 = 90fps)
The CPU is average on 14-20 ms (1000/20 = 50fps)

I used to use msi afterburner, but it only seems to heat my computer up, as its my CPU that is the biggest bottlenec, and not the GPU.

Ingame settings are ofc for best performance, i three away Graphics and such a long time ago.

So i think i cannot do much more in the settings and such.

Now i wonder what would be the cheapest hardware upgrade for me? So that i can reach maby like 125frames stabile?

u need to know what bios you have. your board is made with 100-200 intel chipset so either 6th or 7th gen processors will work depending on which bios you have.
i7 6700k could be a good solution for you. upgrading the bios on this board could be bad.

some links to read for you.

Performance Options > Visual Effects
You can change it to adjust for best performance or custom and just uncheck everything.
that will kind of make your computer look more like windows 95/98 , but will probably give you an extra 3 to 4 FPS

This will probably help your cpu on average of about 5%

also: I would Lower you resolution refresh speed fromn145 hz to 80 if not 60. ( not just ingame, but your nvidia desktop settings as well )

When Using MSI Afterburner, when you Overclock your graphics card, most of the time you also need to turn the Wattage down if possible.
then you also need to adjust the FAN curve speed, most just set there fans to run at 80% all the time which is a pretty safe number for the fans.
( you can always lower temps by getting aftermarket fans, or better thermal paste. )

https://www.newegg.com/noctua-nt-h2/p/2MB-0026-00005?Item=9SIAADY8R70239
Noctua NT-H2 3.5g, Pro-Grade Thermal Compound Paste incl. 3 Cleaning Wipes (3.5g)
Probably the best thermal paste out there right now.

Otherwise..........................
Bestbuy , does have a lot of GTX 1660 Supers for sale $549.99

then there is always Facebook market or other auction websites.

With that GPU you should have 54-60 FPS stable with overclock with low settings.
CPU is not Fast enough for modern warfare, even with overclock, thats your bottleneck.
But if you upgrade to at least a gtx 1660 super, then that should make up for the CPU issue for the most part, but eventually you will probably want to do a simple CPU/Motherboard upgrade, can get some decent stuff like a i5-3570k for 80 bucks new online. and a 54$ Biostar motherboard.

125 fps on what game? I have a 2060 rtx with ryzen 5 3600 and its hard to stay above 125 at ALL times regardless of graph settings on some games. Some games it even goes to 50 fps(dips to 50 then back up) such as Assassins creed which is extremely demanding during certain scenes.Modern warfare is one where I can stay above 120 often, but it does dip below 100 sometimes.

Thanks all guys :)

Im at travel atm, but when i get home i can probarly get more info on my pc. I have a program who logs a lot of it, i dont know much myself lol xD

But as i understand when it comes to hardware i should search for used:
i7-6700

And GPU:
GTX 1660super?

What about RTX? Would those fit? Warzone has a setting who increase high fps on RTX.

Cooling paste:
You just spash it over the CPU? To transfer temperature better to the atmosfair?

Yes i will defenitiv make my pc look like Windows 95 if it helps fps and CPU usage.
CPU usage is at 100% when playing warzone, i understand this is less than ideal lol xD

Modern warfare even my xbox one can run, but warzone with its big Maps is inzanely demanding. Which is why i mostly run rebirth due to smaller map. I also think warzone co-operate with hardware sellers to force sales. I used to have 100-120fps in warzone, then every new season it gets far worse. I have to sacrifice visibility, then more and more performance settings xD

I also have gsync monitor, gsync is set on. Helps a lot on csgo.
Do i still get fps etc increase on turning down Hz for warzone?

Google bottleneck calculator and thatll give you an idea whether you need a new gpu or cpu. If your running 1440p i don't think you should be dipping to 50 fps on low settings. Maybe overclocking might help you too
