looking to upgrade hard drive and was wondering if it can take a PCIe one

nope.

no nvme support no m.2 slots

sata ssd is your best bet.

If you're searching for SATA SSD, try using Google/Bing for 2.5" SSD.

Some common brands and model are WD Blue, Samsung 860 or 870, or Crucial MX.
