Having my eyes on these two monitors. It will be both for productivity and gaming. What would you pick if budget wasn't an concern.
In generel it's 3840x1600p ultrawide vs 3840x2160 16:9.

Tbh I'd take the 38", I love 21:9 for movies too. Not much of a gamer anymore tbh.

However, I always roll with two monitors, which are currently 3440x1440@90 34" and 27" 4k@60.

both are too large imo.
If I had to choose, 27". 38 is insanely large for gaming.

Cool. Well got a 27" 4k@60hz main which will be secondary monitor.
True movies are usually in wider format than 16:9!

Really? I feel 27" is a bit to small. But my desk is also very large. 90cm/35inch deep, still have 20cm/8inch from the current monitor to the wall.

Aspect ratio/ultrawide monitors kinda fix the issue with the screen feeling 'too big'. 38" 16:9 vs 38" 21:9 UW look/feel completely different.
