just got my new monitor asus vg278q 144hz

the settings only show up to 60hz with hdmi port

my bad been trying to look it up on youtube cant seem to find the answer do i need the dvi port for it? mine didn't came with dvi only the other 2 display port cords

The YouTube video shows how to get into the advanced display settings and change the refresh rate.

You should change the refresh rate on the monitor by going into the monitor hardware settings, and not the NVidia software settings.

I looked up the specifications for the Asus VG278 variants and you're on HDMI connection so the max you're going to get is 120Hz, not 144Hz. If you use DisplayPort, then you can reach 144Hz.

This doesn't change the fact that you need to go into the monitor settings and not the video card/NVidia settings.

I’ll try get one didn’t came with the box but it say on the website it does so I emailed them hopefully I get a reply tomorrow

Did you really look at that video I linked - which shows how to get to your monitor hardware settings to enable a higher refresh rate than 60Hz?

i did but my friend told me dont use hdmi port, use the display port and re start the computer so now its showing 144hz
