CPU temps keep spiking every 20-45 seconds or so. Even in BIOS. It'll jump to ~60c, then slowly climb down to ~45, then instant back up to 60 again and climb down. Does this all the time. Is it a a temp monitoring problem? I feel like that can't represent actual temps when I'm not even loaded into an OS. Hyper 212 black with fans at 100% and it still does this... Is this a known issue with any cpus/mobos? b450 aorus pro wifi mobo

Assuming paste application and pressure is fine.... Bios update, manually set voltage along with timings and disable xmp, check cpu socket is clean, could be defective.

3600x has turbo boost. So it’s probably constantly boosting itself from 3.8 to 4.4 automatically which is causing the temp spike and then with the increase in temps it clocks itself back down to 4, then temp drops then it boosts to 4.2, then temp rises, then clocks to 3.9 then temp drops then boosts back to 4.4 and over and over and over again at different clocks

Download the ryzen master app to turn off turbo boost

That's normal for Ryzen 3rd gen. Google Ryzen sawtooth temps.
